Housekeeping Staff (Part-Time or Full-Time)

Raintree Square has an immediate opening for part-time and full-time housekeeping staff members. The purpose of the housekeeping department is to take pride in keeping the public areas of Raintree Square clean and welcoming to both residents and visitors. They are responsible for cleaning vacated apartments for occupancy in a timely manner. Cleaning apartments and/or doing laundry for residents may be scheduled by the Housekeeping Department as requested by residents. Housekeeping employees report to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

 

We are seeking individuals who are compassionate, patient, and reliable... someone who wants to make a difference. This individual will be part of a team that strives to ensure a safe and happy environment for our residents. This person may be required to fill in during all shifts. This person may work weekends. Candidates must be prepared to complete the following tasks after training, including but not limited to:

  • Cleaning apartments, as scheduled and requested by residents (Cleaning in the resident apartment includes, but is not limited to: mopping, sweeping, cleaning bathroom, cleaning kitchen, dusting, etc.)

  • Resident laundry, as scheduled and requested by residents

  • Maintaining the cleanliness of all public areas of Raintree Square (inlcudes but not limited to: lobby, restrooms, library, community rooms, TV lounge, entryways, residents’ laundry room and guest apartments)

  • Housekeeping staff shall assist in serving lunch to residents at 11:30 a.m. in the dining room

  • Do daily work as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor

  • Being ready and able to follow emergency procedures during a crisis

  • Other reasonable tasks, as requested

  • Shifts run on weekdays, weekends, and holidays

  • May work weekends

Necessary Qualifications and Skills of Housekeeping Staff at Raintree Square:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

  • Ability to work well with others and accept orders from supervisor

  • Work as team player

  • Ability to exercise good judgment and tact

  • Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and policies

  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 40 lbs.

  • There is a lot of walking in this position. Candidate must be able to walk, bend, reach and stand for long periods of time

  • Successfully complete on-site training and orientation

  • Be able to pass a criminal background check

Current openings: 

Support Service Staff (Part-Time)

Raintree Square has an opening for a part-time Support Service staff member. We are seeking an individual who is compassionate, patient, and reliable... someone who wants to make a difference. This individual will be part of a support team that strives to ensure a safe and happy environment for our residents. This person person will work weekends. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Obtaining and recording temperatures

  • Taking blood pressures

  • Conducting wellness checks

  • Providing medication reminders

  • Recording any activity and observations in the daily log book, and reporting them to the supervisor when necessary

  • Assisting with baths/showers

  • Observing and reporting any changes in resident's health status

  • Providing assistance with “Aging in Place” care (ex: assistance to/from activities, assistance with daily needs, etc.)

  • Reporting to the supervisor immediately when observing any unusual or significantly challenging behaviors

  • Being ready and able to follow emergency procedures during a crisis

  • Approximately 24 or less hours per week, with the possibility for more

  • Shifts (6:30 am - 2:30 pm, 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm, or 10:30 pm - 6:30 am) run on weekdays, weekends, and holidays

  • Must be available to work weekends

  • Other reasonable tasks as requested

Necessary Qualifications and Skills of Support Service Staff Attendant at Raintree Square:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

  • Ability to exercise good judgment and tact

  • Be able to read product labels

  • Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and policies

  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 40 lbs.

  • Must be able to walk, bend, reach and stand for long periods of time

  • Successfully complete on-site training and orientation

  • Be able to pass a criminal background check

Raintree Square Independent Retirement Community, is a non-profit independent living facility for seniors in New Castle, Indiana. We are not a licensed medical facility, but we do provide a support system for our residents to enable them to live in a safe community.
