Current openings: 

Support Service Staff (Part-Time)

Raintree Square has an opening for a part-time Support Service staff member. We are seeking an individual who is compassionate, patient, and reliable... someone who wants to make a difference. This individual will be part of a support team that strives to ensure a safe and happy environment for our residents. This person will work weekends. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Obtaining and recording temperatures

  • Taking blood pressures

  • Conducting wellness checks

  • Providing medication reminders

  • Recording any activity and observations in the daily logbook, and reporting them to the supervisor when necessary

  • Assisting with baths/showers

  • Observing and reporting any changes in resident's health status

  • Providing assistance with “Aging in Place” care (ex: assistance to/from activities, assistance with daily needs, etc.)

  • Reporting to the supervisor immediately when observing any unusual or significantly challenging behaviors

  • Being ready and able to follow emergency procedures during a crisis

  • Approximately 24 or fewer hours per week, with the possibility for more

  • Shifts (6:30 am - 2:30 pm, 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm, or 10:30 pm - 6:30 am) run on weekdays, weekends, and holidays

  • Must be available to work weekends

  • Other reasonable tasks as requested

Necessary Qualifications and Skills of Support Service Staff Attendant at Raintree Square:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

  • Ability to exercise good judgment and tact

  • Be able to read product labels

  • Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and policies

  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 40 lbs.

  • Must be able to walk, bend, reach and stand for long periods of time

  • Successfully complete on-site training and orientation

  • Be able to pass a criminal background check

 

 

Maintenance Staff (Part-Time)

Raintree Square has an opening for a part-time maintenance staff member. This is a position that may change to full time in the future. Tasks include, but are not limited to: 

  • Help order supplies needed for the Maintenance Department. 

  • Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all resident apartments and other interior and exterior facility areas. 

  • Will ensure that residents' apartments are safe, comfortable and maintained in an attractive manner. This includes cleaning up spills and soiled areas and other needs as they arise. 

  • Will be responsible for making all work areas safe, strictly adhering to acceptable procedure for the care of hazardous materials or needs for safety precautions for other materials, makin sure equipment and supplies are properly stored. 

  • Will make sure the walks are cleared of snow and ice melt put down. 

  • Must have the ability to problem solve and handle situations in tactful, pleasant and friendly approach. 

  • Must have the ability to accept the responsibility for developing, organizing and maintaining the facility and providing service of the highest quality while meeting the needs of the residents. 

  • The Maintenance Supervisor and housekeeping departments can assist each other as needs arise. 

  • Will maintain upkeep on the facility vehicles, keeping the gas tanks filled, getting them serviced in a timely manner and making sure they are washed and vacuumed. 

  • Regularly check that back-up lights are ready, that telephones in elevators are functioning and that call lights and fire alarms are in service

Raintree Square Independent Retirement Community is a non-profit independent living facility for seniors in New Castle, Indiana. We are not a licensed medical facility, but we do provide a support system for our residents to enable them to live in a safe community.
